MY FAVOURITE FILM-TITANIC

It depicts the story of a poor boy who enbarca on the Titanic by winning a game of poker. Rose falls in love with a rich girl, engaged to a billionaire. Jack saves Rose's life because she wanted to commit suicide, and in gratitude invites you to a dinner at his luxury boat area, but later go to wineries, where Jack end up staying and having fun dancing and drinking a lot.

Rose's fiance has an accomplice who follows every move of her and Jack, but they get mislead you, and running and running all over the place the ship where people work, go to the garage, where his love just indulging in a luxury car the time.
In the midst of a passionate kiss, the Titanic hit an iceberg, which makes the boat begins to fill with water gradually, ending in the seabed. new enthusiasm. It is suggested that the growth of soccer has been America's

silent sporting revolution.

Although some professional and college sports such as football, ice hockey

and boxing are tough action games, American sports do not suffer the same

amount of spectator violence as some other countries' sports. Events such as

baseball and football can still be family outings. They have a carnival atmosphere

and a large element of show business.

There is extensive media coverage of sports by newspapers and television,

which reflects the popularity and commercial standing of sports in the USA. 

Professional baseball, basketball and football are sports and big businesses

in which team-owners virtually control the players and realize their assets,

investments and profits as players are bought and sold. In the case of baseball,

the rules have been changed to allow players greater freedom.

There is a tendency in American sports to an almost obsessive competitiveness.

As they have become more profit oriented, success has become paramount

and the importance of winning for participants and owners at all levels is

considerable. Critics feel that this attitude has detracted from the traditional spirit

of teamwork and playing games for fun.

 Increased commercialization of college sports has also occurred. Outstanding high-school athletes receive scholarships to enable them to goto college or university, where sports are an essential part of the educational program.

THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION

Nowadays, the education basically follows an indoctrination model, where the students are educated like sheeps. You must think all people think, you must do all people do; but you do not have to think yourself about if this whole world would be better, and if you can achieve it. The education’s structure does not allowed you choose your way, it can help you and create a relationship that makes people intelligent, with attitude and independent for common comfort.

For one hand, the advance in technology is impressive. In our countries, everybody has access to Internet, and it is something very rooted in our society, and more in young people like us. Now, you can find a lot of people for all the matters you want or you need, matters of science, medicine, literature or simply a song or a movie. But, have the access to Internet does not mean that you know how use it properly. You must know how evaluate, interpret and understand it, and with this information, you can create your own information based on the principal information.

For second hand, the education is not free, it costs so much, but it necessary to think on the humanity’s future. It does not cost only money, but also effort, sacrifice and attitude. Teaching general aims and fundamental, preserve and transmit the knowledge, culture and values from one generation to the next, preparing to integrate into society, as is understood in every moment who decide on how to be future society. It builds people creative and independent, people able to appreciate the cultural achievements of the past and to improve it.

To finish, although the education wants to create people as those, the way that it follows is not the correct. The students go to the school, high school and university, they study general culture, and they specialize on any degree, and learn everything that a common person must to know. But, are they learning actually? Or are they memorizing things without understanding? The education is a poor model, because the students are not learning, they do not understand anything, they only memorize, and when they do an exam, all of this information disappears of their mind. And with this method of teaching, we cannot create people able to get over the problems, and do not the same mistakes every time.

Definitely, we are making a worse education, a worse world and worse people. Everything was done by our ancestors, the war for the education, the war for the rights and the independence; it is being wasted by us. We have to think more about how wonderful it is to have a good education and know make the most of it. 

THANKSGIVING DAY

Thanksgiving Day is traditionally a day for families and friends to get together for a special meal. The meal includes a turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, pumpkin pie, and vegetables. Thanksgiving Day is a time for many people to give thanks for what they have.

BAD HABITS OF YOUNG PEOPLE

The habits of smoking and drinking are increasingly in the modern teenagers, because they think that someone does not smoke and drink is a person that not is welcome in a popular group. They are always uploading photos and videos to the social networks for people to see how much they have fun. The young people are strongly influenced for everything and everybody. They do not think about themselves, they think about what group is the most popular and the coolest to access, and how can they be welcome by the members.

As a young person, I see the people are more worried about the other people who they name “friends” than their families and themselves. In my opinion, they do not think in their future, with a job, a house, a wife or husband, children, and they will be who will maintain their family. They think only in the present, but they do not think that bad habits will be able to devastate their life and affect their mood. When it passes, we have to stop it very quickly.

Is very easy have a good time with your friends nowadays, because there are a lot of things to do. The young people always want to make many different and new things and they take advantage of their spare time for it. For me, the best plan ever is passing out all Saturday with my friends, in the morning we are going to go shopping, then we are going to have lunch in burger restaurant, in the afternoon we can go to the cinema or to have an ice-cream. Although there are a lot of different things for different people, like playing any sport, going to the beach, going a walk, playing table games, etc.

In conclusion, you never have to choose drink or smoke when you have many funny things to do, and these things are better than the other bad habits.

THE TECHNOLOGY AND THE YOUNG PEOPLE

The new technology is something that the young people like me did not born but it has incorporated to us since we were children. The technology and we have grown together, at the same time, and it has become in other of our friends. In that time, we were interested only in the games; we were completely absorved by the computer or the console. But, bit by bit, when we became in older people and our social life grew up, we started to investigate with the social network.

The new technology has a lot of pros. It is used for access information of all you need, because nowadays there is not something that is not on internet, everything that surrounds us appears on internet. This is very beneficial for us because we can learn and expand our knowledge. Also, we can listen to music, watch series, films, programmes and documentaries from all countries, practice or learn a language, create our web page… And, we can do a thing that I think is the best, we can chat with someone who is so far of us, like a friend or a family member who has gone to other country or city, or simply, we can chat with somebody who we do not meet and make friends around the world.

Although, the new technology has a lot of pros, it has a lot of cons too. It creates a teen social media addiction that it becomes in a kind of disorder. We are totally addicted to the social networks, and we are continually stalking Facebook to know everything that happens in our friend’s life. Also, we think that if we do not put anything in a social network, we have not life; we are not “in the wave”. This sometimes can shatter our real social life.

In my opinion, we must use them only for something strictly necessary, and stop to upload all our life and enjoy the “real life”.

Nowadays, the advertising is something that we see all around us, in television, on magazines, on internet, on the street… We are used to see a lot of adverts but we do not realize all of this affects us. All TV advert’s information is stored in our brain, sometimes we do not remember it, sometimes we remember the song or the actor/actress but not the product which is tried to sell, or sometimes we remember everything of this advert because we are interested in the product and in the information.

The experts on advertising want make an advert that can make an impact to the television audiences. They works in a powerful slogan that impress to the people and get catch the people’s brain. The marketing strategy is creating to the people a necessity of buy this product, go to this place, see this film, program or series…

For the business is totally necessary the work of an advertising agency. This agency can became this “normal product” in an amazing product for captivate people. With a simple sentence (the slogan), a product that is not known, can become in the best-seller.

In my opinion, the adverts are a good form to develop our creativity, sometimes give us a lot of ideas for our normal live, and find us things that we like or make our life easier. Is the best way for “creating a relationship” between people and business. Although, usually the adverts change the reality, the product is not better than in the advert, thus the agency is trying to cheat us. While the advertising is honest, always will be beneficial for everyone.

THE ORIGIN OF HALLOWEEN

The origins of Halloween date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France. They celebrated their new year the first of November. This day was the end of summer and the arrival of the cold winter that caused a lot of deaths. On the night of October 31st they celebrated the festival of Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts resuscitated and went to the earth again. The Celts believed that the ghosts killed the crops, and the presence of the ghosts made for the Celtic priests to guess the future. For them that depend on the nature, these beliefs make easier the pass of the winter.

In 1000 AD, the church chose the second of November for the All Souls’ Day. This day was celebrated similarly to the Samhain, with bonfires, parades and costumes of saints, angels and devils. The All Saints Day celebration was also called All-hallows, and the night before it that was the night of Samhain, it was called All-hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween.

THE TEA IN UK

The tea is one of the biggest icons of the UK culture, His history dates back to the XVII century when it was imported from China by the biggest merchants of the season. The British East India Company was the company that had the monopoly of the market outside Europe.

The tea was released to the people of the season in the coffee shops more important of London, where it was used to an element of the coffee. The tea won so much popularity that it made the competency to the beer and the gin, the typical drinks of UK.

The traditional afternoon tea was introduced by Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, in the XIX century, by the reason of the long time of the wait among the lunch and the dinner. Anna invited her friends and this habit became very popular in the high society of the season, and it perdures until today.

The tea is served in silver teapots, although nowadays there are so many variants for each taste and this tradition has been lost in the London population. One of the funniest activities you can make to drink the traditional tea is the ‘afternoon tea cruise along the River Thames’, while you can delight every amazing views, which the London city offers you. 

THE FASHION NOWADAYS

One day in class we made a discuss if you agree or disagree with today's need of looking trendy and cool to feel good about ourselves, and here is my opinion.

I agree with the need of looking trendy and cool to feel good about ourselves because the tendencies of makeup and clothes are proposed by us, the simple people. Every year the companies make interviews and polls to the people and they give them opinions of the tendencies. So according to them opinions the designers and companies make the clothes and the makeup. Thus, the average people like the most of the tendencies and they identify with them. 

For other part, I disagree because no all the people like the same things and are fashion-coscious. There is not a dress code and, in my opinion, the good taste is very relative. In the world there are a lot of kinds of styles for each person, and this makes special the life. And there are not the same tendencies in all the countries, and sometimes in all the cities of the same country.

To finish, nowadays the second-hand clothes shops are so popular because the old-fashioned clothes return again, and those shops are a form of save money and be original. 

GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS.

The main cause was the financial instrument, that pool their various loans into sellable assets. This method would made a great disaster for banks because they will be tried up for decades. This risk was named the greatest financial innovation in the 20th century. This starts in Wall Street and then in all the world. 

This situation was: Banks borrowed more money to lend out for have more securitazion, When their securitazion became a bad loads, they sell to banks, and this was not their problem yet.

When they did not borrowed to other banks, they turned to the poors (the normal people). As the houses' price raised, they thought that these bad loans would make recuperate their high-valued property. Many banks were taking on huge risks increasing their exposure to problems. 

The problem was so large, even the banks with large capital reserves felt into ruin. so they had to turn to governments for solve this large problem. 

Shrinking banks caught all the money of the economy, because they intented to have a large capital and became the biggest bank in the world. But, businesses and individuals that borrowed to banks, they find difficult make money to solve their credits. 

SOLUTIONS

The banks would think more about how much borrow and lend out, to who lend money, and have a large capital bit by bit, not at the moment. 

And the businesses and normal people would think more about how much borrow from banks, and if they could pay all the money. 

In my opinion, she has so much reason, but I think the banks could not to have a large capital of goods, they would have a lot of money to "play" with it and make the world more easy. They would not to be so selfish, and think more about the normal people.

COMPARISON

Rostropovich and the Sex Pistols are musicians. Likewise, both of them  their live around the music. Similarly, Rostropovich is as famous as the Sex Pistols group in the music field. Although, the Sex Pistols normally play punk music while Rostropovich plays classical music, normally in a orchestra. Thus the music style of the Sex Pistols is different from the style of Rostropovich. The Sex Pistols dresses unusual clothes, in contrast, Rostropovich wears formal clothes, a suit. Sex Pistols band plays the electric instruments. On the other hand, Rostropovich plays a classical instrument. Also the Sex Pistols and Rostropovich love music, they are very differents between them.

MY FUTURE

When I finish my degree in English Studies, I would like to work teaching English for young people, especially in a high school. Although nowadays is very complicated to have a job in the public support, because the job market is very poor for too much people, but who does not intent it, does not get anything. 

But, other option for me is to work freelance, setting up a business, specifically creating my own English academy. This option is more difficult than the first option, you must have survival skills, because you are your boss and your money is in the balance. If this option goes wrong, you lose everything you have done with your effort. I think this option is more gratifying, and if you get your business goes in flood, you will be absolutely a good businessman/woman. Very few people get this.

In my opinion, become on a professional worker is very complicated, it carries very effort, sacrifice, courage and put love on what you do, because it is your future and a very important part of your life. During years you have been studying in a school for learn everything a person has to know, the general culture. Then, you have chosen a degree for in the future, work on this. But, when you finished all your studies, is the moment to demonstrate everything you know and you are better than others of job market.

This whole process is long and a bit complicated. Every time, the job market demand more and more, and you have to be prepared for everything, you have to train very hard and investigate all you can. You need to highlight between the people of your work.

To finish, you cannot forget that you never know everything, you are always learning new things and you can learn of everything. And if you are interested in your job, you will improve more and more, and you will stand out.

MET A CLASSMATE SPECIAL

I met a girl the first day of class and since that moment we are always sitting together. I get on well with her at the first second and I expect we will be always good friends. She is very funny and nice, she is always making jokes and laughing, like me. We seem us because we do not like de party, we are quiet people, we love go shopping and the motorbikes, and we love so much the English, is obvious. We confess us our secrects because we rely a lot of us. I hope this four years will be so special for us. She is my best classmate.

GUERNICA

First, I am very touched because we see the anguish of men during the civil bombing of Guernica. I feel compassion for the characters who suffer because of human folly. When we see the woman who had a dead baby in her arms, I am upset because I think for a woman her son is the most important of his life. The suffering of the characters can not leave indifferent.
Besides compassion, Guernica inspired me fear, fear. The presence of corpses, dismembered characters immerse us in a world of terror, a nightmare.
Then I have an impression of confusion because I do not understand the different forms, the presence of some characters that make up the picture. No clutch, I think each item is important, and everyone gives me a different feeling.

The power of makeup

I think this topic is the best option to start the blog and to meet more of me. One of my best passions is the makeup and with it I want to give my opinion of a polemic that is in the world nowadays. 

Many people, generally the men, think the women make up too much, we do it to like them, we have insecurities, we are not real with makeup, we do not love ourselves, and many opinions more. 

But in my opinion, this is not true. The makeup is an art, a form to express yourself and show to the world who you are, your personality, a form to play and fun with it, because there are not rules to make up and you can do everything you want with it.

Nobody is perfect and thus we are so special. Although we always look for our defects, and with the makeup we can transform it and heighten our best features, for this the makeup is a special art. 

To end, I want to say that you must not depend of makeup, we have to love ourselves how we are, with our defects and our virtues, with or without makeup. We are beautiful and nobody have to judge us.

PRACTICE 1 (my opinion)

In my opinion, the part of the practice that I´d like too much is the scheme. It is a good form to organize your second ideas for the main idea, and you can link each ideas. As well it is a good method to develop the main idea easily and structure a text better. Also, it is more useful to study and review your exams. So I think this is the best method to study and develop a text. 

You can make a scheme with differents things, like keys, arrows, numbers, points, letters...
